Putting them on

Adhesive of any kind sticks best to clean, dry skin. Wash the area, skip the body lotion and oil that day, and let everything dry fully before you press on. Hold each pastie in place for a few seconds so the adhesive grips. If your skin is very oily, a quick wipe with a little rubbing alcohol before you apply helps, as long as your skin tolerates it.

If you've never worn pasties, do a test run before the night you need them. Wear them for an hour at home, move around, raise your arms, and see how they hold. Better to find out on the sofa than at the party.

Making them last

Reusable adhesive loses grip when it picks up fluff and skin oil. Keep the backing clean by sticking the pasties back on their carrier or a smooth plastic sheet after use, not loose in a bag.
