Lubricant and Use

Any soft elastomer toy works best with plenty of lubricant. Apply it to the toy and to yourself, and add more the moment things start to drag. A water-based lubricant is the safe general choice for elastomer toys, because silicone-based lubricant can break down some soft materials over time, unless the maker states that silicone is fine for that particular toy. Warming the toy in your hands, or in a bowl of warm (never hot) water for a minute or two, can soften the feel. Go slowly the first time, find the grip and pace that suit you, and stop if anything hurts or feels numb.

Cleaning and Storage

Rinse it with warm water and mild soap right after use, wash the inside with clean fingers, rinse until the water runs clear, and let it air dry fully before it goes back in its pouch or box. Soft elastomers are porous, so they hold on to moisture and residue if you rush this step. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat and sharp objects, and store it apart from other toys, since some soft materials can react with one another. A light dusting of cornstarch or toy powder can keep the surface from feeling tacky. If the material turns sticky, tears or develops a smell that will not wash out, it is time to replace it. This is a personal toy, so we do not recommend sharing it.
