Tie it and you've dressed it. The halter dress has a tie front, so you decide how open or closed the front looks. Tie it tight for a defined waist or bust, or loose for a relaxed drape. It's made in lace framing knit and fishnet, and the open weave is what you'll see, so tie gently and don't pull hard on the knot, which can distort the knit.

Because lace and fishnet are open by nature, think about what's underneath. A slip, a bodysuit or shorts give more coverage if you want it. The halter neckline is easiest to wear without a regular bra, so adhesive cups or a bandeau are options. Check the tie in a mirror, then adjust until it sits comfortably. Choose your shoes for the occasion. Heels, boots or flat sandals all work, and jewelry should stay simple so it doesn't catch on the open weave.

The fabric is 90 percent nylon and 10 percent spandex, and we carry the dress in Queen and O/S. Queen is size 14 to 18, bust 42 to 46 inches and hips 42 to 49 inches. A tie front gives you some flexibility at the neckline, but the hip measurement is harder to adjust. This one is from the Fantasy Lingerie Vixen group, and it works as a layer for lingerie as much as it does on its own.

Key Features:
- Halter tie dress – tie it open or closed
- Lace framing knit – decorative pattern around the open sections
- Fishnet – open weave
- 90% nylon, 10% spandex – stretchy
- Queen or O/S – compare the ranges

Size Specs: Queen: size 14 to 18, bust 42 to 46 in, hips 42 to 49 in. Also available in O/S.
Materials: 90% nylon, 10% spandex.

Picking your option

Measure your bust at the fullest point and your hips at the fullest point, with the tape level. If your bust is in range and your hips aren't, go by the hips, because the tie can flex and the hips can't. Then think about the length you like. A dress that's too short for you will ride up, so if you're tall, decide how you plan to wear it. If your numbers fall outside Queen, check the O/S ranges.

Wearing it

Put it on with the tie loose and do the front last. Smooth the knit over your hips so it lies flat. If you want more coverage, wear the dress over a slip or a bodysuit, and keep the colors close so the layers read as one outfit. If you plan to dance or move around a lot, give it a test run at home. Reach, bend and sit, and see whether the knot loosens or the hem climbs, then adjust the tie before you leave.

Care

Check the label. In general, hand wash cold with mild detergent and rinse well. Press out the water without wringing and lay it flat to dry. Skip the dryer and bleach. Undo the tie before washing so the knot doesn't set.

How we ship it

The dress is packed in a plain, unmarked box. Nothing outside mentions lace, fishnet or lingerie.
