Neva Nude Heart Glitter Pasties

Red hearts, glitter and nothing else: that's the whole idea. These pasties are handmade, self-adhering nipple covers that you stick on and wear, with a heart shape that goes over the top of your skin and sparkles when you move. They're bold, playful and easy to apply, which is what a good pair of pasties should be.

The adhesive is hypoallergenic, latex-free and medical grade, and it lasts for 10 to 12 hours. That's a full night out, a long festival day or a very drawn-out photo shoot. Each pastie measures 2.75 in. by 2.5 in., so it's a good coverage size. The glitter finish catches light, and red is a colour that never gets boring. The base material is polyurethane.

Size Specs

Each pastie is 2.75 in. wide by 2.5 in. tall. That's wide enough to cover most nipples and the area around them, but not so large that it takes over your outfit. If you have a larger chest or want more coverage, remember that this is a heart shape, so the coverage is concentrated in the middle. For wider coverage, look at our larger styles.

Applying them

Start with clean, dry skin. Skip lotions, body oils and sunscreen on the area, and let any deodorant or powder dry. Peel the backing, centre the heart over your nipple and press from the middle out so there are no air pockets. Hold for a few seconds. If you're sweating, wait a minute and press again.

A bit of advice: do a patch test on your inner arm a day before, because even hypoallergenic adhesives can bother sensitive skin. Take them off slowly, peeling from an edge and holding your skin down. A little baby oil or warm water along the edge helps if they cling.

Making them last

The adhesive is built for wear, so assume these are for one night unless you have the means to clean them gently. Keep glitter surfaces away from rough fabrics, and carry a spare pair if you're out all night. Styling-wise, they look best against bare skin under a sheer top, a jacket left open, or a harness.

Before the night

Try one on at home before you wear them out. Stick a single pastie where it will sit, wear your outfit and watch how the heart looks in the mirror when you lift your arms. If the glitter edge catches on fabric, smooth it down with a fingertip, and carry a spare pair in case one lifts while you're on your feet. After the night, remove them slowly, wash your skin with mild soap and let it rest before putting on any other adhesive.
