Neva Nude Strawberry Fruitella Wet Vinyl Pasties

Neon pink, wet-look vinyl, and a fruit name. The Strawberry Fruitella pasties are the Strawberry Passion Pink member of a three-color set that also includes Amorous Apple Green and Loveable Lemon Yellow. We carry this pink one. Neva Nude adds a disclaimer, and we'll repeat it: they are not made with real fruit and they are not edible. Keep your teeth away.

The wet look is the point. These are meant to be smooth and glossy, with a summer feel, and you can wear them under a tank, with a daring dress, at a pool or a festival. You get two pasties in the pack. They measure 3 inches wide by 3 inches, with a coverage of 1.65 inches, so they're roomy enough to hold a design and still cover what you want covered.

Application is self-adhering and simple. The adhesive is hypoallergenic, latex-free and medical grade, and the maker says each pair lasts 10 to 12 hours. They're handmade in California from locally sourced swimsuit material, so no two pairs are identical, and yours may differ slightly from the image.

Picking your option

This one is pink. The Fruitella set also comes in apple green and lemon yellow, and each is its own product. Decide which color works with what you'll wear them with. To check the size, measure across the area you want to cover and compare it with the 1.65 inch coverage figure. If the area is larger, the 3 inch overall width will still help, but the covered area stays at 1.65.

Applying them

Start with clean, dry skin that has no lotion, oil or powder on it. Peel the backing, place the pasty and press it from the center outward. Smooth the edges so they lie flat. A small patch test on the inner forearm is smart if your skin is sensitive.

Removing them

Slow and steady. Hold your skin with one hand and peel with the other. A warm shower helps if they hold on stubbornly. A wet-look finish picks up fingerprints and lint easily, so wipe the surface gently with a soft cloth if you need to.

The wet vinyl look comes in three colors in this set: Amorous Apple Green, Strawberry Passion Pink and Loveable Lemon Yellow. Each is sold separately, so pick the shade you like. Neon colors are loud, so keep the rest of the outfit simple if you want the pasties to be the main event.

They're swimsuit material at heart, which is why Neva Nude says you can wear them with a daring dress, under a tank or in place of a bikini top. If the plan is a pool day, press them on well ahead of time and give the adhesive a few minutes to set before you get wet.
