Pastease Halos Reusable Silicone Nipple Covers Dark

These are for outfits where a bra is out of the question. The Pastease Halos Reusable Silicone Nipple Covers in Dark are thin, round silicone covers with a matte finish, made for backless dresses, strapless tops and sheer blouses. They go on bare skin, and they hold in place for up to 12 hours.
The silicone is medical-grade, latex-free and waterproof, and it's hypoallergenic, so it works for sensitive skin. The design is thin and matte, with no lines or reflections under clothing. They resist heat and humidity too, which matters at a summer wedding, a hot yoga class or a crowded dance floor.
You get two sizes. Small is 3 in. across and made for A to C cups. Large is 4 in. across and made for D cups and up. If you're between sizes, the larger one gives you more coverage at the edges. The range also includes three nude tones, a lace-print nude and a neon pink that glows in the dark, and the one on this page is the Dark shade. Look at it in daylight against your skin before you decide.

Picking your size
Size affects comfort more than anything else here. A cover that's too small may lift at the edges, and one that's too large can peek out at the side of a low neckline. To picture the difference, hold a small plate or a round lid against your chest, 3 in. across for Small and 4 in. for Large. If you're between sizes, think about the neckline you'll wear most.
Applying and removing: Start with clean, dry skin, and keep lotion, oil, sunscreen and deodorant off the area. Position each cover, press from the centre outward and smooth the edges flat. Check yourself in a mirror in the outfit you plan to wear, and raise your arms and sit down to see how they move. When you take them off, go slowly and keep the skin flat so nothing pulls.
Care
In general, rinse silicone covers with mild soap and water, let them air dry and put them back in the case. Don't rub them with towels or leave them where dust and hair can collect. When they stop sticking even after a wash, it's time to replace them. If you've never worn silicone covers, try them for a short stretch before a long event.
These work best when you plan around the outfit. Backless dresses, halter tops, sheer blouses and strapless gowns are where silicone covers earn their place, because there's no strap, no band and no seam to show. Before an important event, wear the outfit and the covers together for an hour, so you know how they behave when you move. If you plan to take them off and put them back on during the day, bring the case. Apply deodorant, sunscreen and lotion to other areas first and let the skin dry completely, since all three cut down on stickiness.
