The first thing you notice is the weight. The Prowler RED Heavy Duty Hand Cuffs are made from heavy stainless steel, and they feel like it when you pick them up. They're rigid, they're cold for the first few seconds and they don't stretch, so they hold firm. That reassuring heft is the point, and it gives the whole scene a certain seriousness before anyone has said a word.

Metal cuffs are very different from soft restraints. A fabric cuff gives a bit, and these don't. They're built for bondage play, with a strong and secure design that has a kinky look and feel, and they suit the person who wants to enjoy dominant fantasies with a partner who's properly held. If you're new to restraints, you may want to start with something softer, then move to steel once you know what you like.

We don't have a size range, lock type or key details listed for these, so check the product images and anything printed with the item before you order. For a first pair, confirm how they open and close, test the lock before you use them, and know where the key is at all times. Steel is a good material for the job, because it's non-porous, easy to clean and built to last.

Safety first

Agree on limits and a stop word before you use any restraints. Never leave a restrained person alone, even for a moment. Keep the key within easy reach and test the lock beforehand. Check circulation often. Fingers that look pale, feel cold or go numb mean the cuffs come off right away. Don't put them on tight, and leave room for movement at the wrist. Metal can bruise or injure if a person pulls hard against it, so skip steel cuffs if you expect to struggle.

Care

Wipe the cuffs with a damp cloth and mild soap, dry them well, and store them somewhere dry. Moisture can collect around the hinge and lock, so check those after cleaning. A drop of light machine oil on a stiff hinge keeps it moving, as long as you wipe off the excess and keep it away from skin. Look them over for burrs or rough edges now and then.

Think about the scene, too. Steel cuffs make noise, and they can mark a wrist if someone pulls, so they suit a slow, controlled kind of play more than a rough one. Put a soft cuff or a bit of padding under them if you want more comfort, and don't clip them over bare bone. Talk before you start about what happens if either of you wants out, and keep a spare key somewhere both of you can reach. Good preparation is a lot of what makes heavy hardware feel safe instead of risky.
