Prowler RED Latex Hood

Pull it on slowly. Latex is tight by nature, and this hood is stretchy enough to close around your head in a contoured fit. Smooth it down, find the eye openings, and settle the rest. It covers the mouth and nose while leaving a breathable design, and the eye holes give you a mix of obscurity and visibility. You can see, but not freely, and what you can see is narrow.
That's the point of a hood. It's a role-play piece, a sensory deprivation piece and a bondage piece, depending on how you use it. The covering changes how you hear and how you breathe, and it changes how a partner reads you. The fit is described as suitable for newcomers and veterans alike, and the breathable design is built to keep it comfortable. Even so, breath play is a real risk. Set a signal that doesn't rely on speech, keep it simple, and keep the hood short in duration the first few times.
The material is latex, which is a concern if you have a latex allergy. This is a natural rubber product, so skip it if you've ever reacted to latex. Otherwise, it's a classic, a smooth surface that shines when it's polished and stays quiet in a drawer. We carry the Prowler RED line, and the hood works alone or alongside restraints, which is why it pairs so easily with other gear.

Putting it on
Latex clings to dry skin, so a little silicone-based latex lubricant or polish makes it much easier to put on. Keep your nails short, take off jewelry, and stretch the opening wide as you pull it over your head. Check that your eyes line up with the openings and that your nose and mouth are clear. If it feels tight or restricts your breathing, take it off.
Play safely
Never leave someone alone in a hood. Agree on a safe signal beforehand, since your voice may be muffled. Keep the session short at first, and have a way to remove it quickly. Stop if you feel dizzy or anxious. If you have asthma, a heart condition or any breathing problem, talk to a doctor first.
Care
Wash latex with lukewarm water and a mild soap, rinse, and dry with a soft towel. Keep it away from oil-based products, sunlight and heat, which break the material down. A latex dressing aid or polish adds shine. Store it flat, dusted with talc, in a cool, dark place, and keep it separate from other colors, which can stain.
How we ship it
The hood is packed in a plain, unmarked box. Latex stays out of sight until you open it.
