Prowler RED Leather Jeans

These are the leather jeans we'd point to first. The Prowler RED Leather Jeans are a simple 501 cut in soft leather, with two deep front pockets, a double snap button and a zip fly, so there's no fiddling with a button when you're in a hurry. It's a classic shape, and the leather does the talking.
The back has no pockets, and that's on purpose. With nothing sewn onto the seat, the fit around your ass is the feature. They're cut higher in the waist as well, to stop that constant tug of jeans sliding down, though we'd still wear a belt. Leather has weight, and a belt takes the load off the button and keeps the line clean.
They're finished to a 36 inch leg, which is long. If you're shorter than that, plan on hemming them or cuffing the legs. Measure your inseam from the crotch to the floor, or to where you want the hem to fall, and compare it with 36. Leather can be shortened at a tailor, though it's best to ask someone who works with it. Waist sizes run 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 and 38 inches.

Picking your size
Measure your waist with a soft tape where your trousers usually sit, then measure again about an inch above your navel, since these sit higher. Leather has less give than denim, though it softens and shapes to your body as you wear it. A pair that feels a touch snug at first often eases off, but a loose pair won't tighten. If you're between sizes, think about if you want a fitted look or room to move, and choose the one you'd be happier sitting down in.
Care
Leather needs gentler treatment than denim. Keep the jeans dry, wipe them with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and let them air out after a night of wear. If they get wet, dry them at room temperature and never near a heater. A leather conditioner now and then keeps the surface supple, but test it on an inside seam first. Hang them from the waistband or fold them over a hanger. Don't put them in the washing machine or dryer.
Think about how you'll wear them. Leather jeans read differently depending on what's above them, so a plain tee gives you a classic look, a harness gives you something harder, and a mesh top takes you toward the club. They run warm, so they're a better fit for cool nights than for a summer afternoon. Break them in at home first, sitting and squatting to see how the leather gives, so the first night out isn't also the first time they've moved with you.
